Senior Tax Accountant/CPA:
We are looking for an experienced and analytical Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or CPA candidate with a minimum 5 years of experience to join our talented and growing accounting office. Our firm is committed to providing the highest quality accounting, tax and consulting services to many clients on the Delmarva Peninsula and beyond.
To accomplish your goal of successfully managing our company’s tax and financial processes, you will perform various tasks. These include filing all tax forms and analyzing business transactions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct tax interviews with clients
- Request, collect, and compile all necessary documents
- Prepare corporate and personal income tax returns
- Advise business owners and individuals regarding the tax code
- Maintain and garner new client relationships
- Detect and address potential compliance issues proactively
- Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations at all times
- Uphold the excellent reputation of our firm
- Maintain constant communication with IRS, State Agencies, and our clients
- Provide tax consults and on-boarding for new clients
- Maintain highly organized and updated client files
- Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve shared goals
- Additional responsibilities as needed
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- A minimum of 5 years’ proven experience as a public accountant
- CPA certification or CPA Candidate is a requirement
- Outstanding tax knowledge of local, state and federal regulations
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Solid understanding of tax & accounting software and MS Office
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Outstanding phone and email etiquette
- Able to thrive in deadline-driven environment
Work Schedule:
- Year-round Monday through Friday; part-time is a possibility
- May require additional work hours periodically for deadline project completion
- Location Ocean City, Maryland
